Monterey Historic Races - Lotuses

Gracing Sunday's Lotus corral were three Elises. Two were Sunsport Honda B18C conversions. One appeared to be a personal car from Britain. Lotus corral also had a Europa, two Sevens and Renault Sport Spider. The Renault was likely a Sunsport car or a personal car on waivers.

Lotus 23s were very popular and fast as usual. Some detailed pictures of one being worked on before the race are for my benefit in putting together my Xanthos 23. My car will not be dry sumped like this car, which appears to have the Titan pump standard on Formula Fords. Exhaust and coolant routing is also different. Note Hewland gearbox, transmission adapter, clutch cylinder, and coolant and oil overflow catch tanks. One 23 had an AIM MyChron3 display and datalogger.
